I captured this a while ago so I can't really tell you what the changes were, but at one point my 8 and 9 scores see-sawed in opposite directions every month for at least three months so 9 can definitely view things differently than 8.

This was a couple of years ago, but one month 8's were up and 9's were down, the next month exactly the opposite, and I'm pretty sure the third month was back to the first pattern. After that they settled down. I should have looked more closely at the time to understand what the factors might have been but that was a busy time in my life. My wife and I were looking at homes but hadn't had an accepted offer so hadn't applied for mortgages at that point.
I frequently frown when someone blames a score change on a score card switch; but this time I find the explanation very plausible.
Bottom line, if your score is 800+, don't sweat the minutia! ![]()
interestingly, I just gained ~30 points in Experian FICO 9 for going 0/12, although I feel utilization was a part of that 30 point gain though too
