I had a BOA credit card charged-off in April 2004. I paid the outstanding balance in November 2006. The account is now reported as a paid charge-off November 2006. Even though the account was charged off 3 years ago it now looks like I had a recent charge-off within the last 12 months which is seriously effecting my FICO credit score.
How can I correct the charge-off date to report as the original April 2004?
