Re: Paying Off Loans

If you get your FICO reports via the Suze package, you'll have to look on the Action Planner page. Look down on the bottom right, and you'll see the link.

If you get your EQ report via Scorewatch, or if you use FICO Standard, you should see the sim on the very last screen of your report.

The sim looks specifically at the info on your report, but it's limited in areas such as what would happen if a late fell off or was GW'd, for instance.

An alternative is the FICO Score Estimator. This allows you to put in whatever info you like, so you can see what would happen if you didn't have any lates, or a BK wasn't there, etc. Its projected score range is much broader/ less specific than the sim, but you have some flexibility to do what-if's. I call it my FICO time machine, because it lets me see what might have been if I hadn't gotten stuck on stupid.

If you use the Estimator, enter the info from just one report. So if you have 3 inqs on EQ, 2 on TU, and 5 on EX, and you're trying to see what would happen to your EQ score, be sure to enter your history as it appears on your EQ report, and just enter "3" for number of inquiries, not 10 (3+2+5.) hth
