Penfed uses it, but what is FICO NG2?

Just got updated score information from the Penfed site, where they are monitoring my Equifax score.  According to this, I have a score of 884.  

I'm curious if anyone knows what the key difference is with this model compared to the other FICO scores.  I have 6 inquiries and a 12 year file, and good utilization, no derogs, if that helps anyone.

It's likely NextGen 2
