Nothing with Utilization will effect your "score gains". Utilization scores are snapshots, you could have perfect utilization one month, horrible utilization the next, and have perfect utilization the third month and your score will be exactly the same. bad to good to bad same thing.
Horrible utilization during the second month is going to have a negative effect on your score during that month. But utilization has no memory, and during the third month, your score will recover. The idea behind optimizing utilization is to maximize your score at any given moment. However, it won't have a long-term effect.

Thats what I meant. None lasting. Could spend 5 months at 100% uti, and as soon as its paid down (baring any AA) score it right where it should be.
Spending 5 months at 100% util might cause certain lenders to take AA.
