Proof Credit Karma is Fishy?

So my TU score has gone up by about 15 points in the last few weeks, now being at 741.

Yet my Credit Karma score, which supposedly pulls TU, has remained unchanged over the same time period. Even if it uses a different scoring system, you'd expect it to change at least a little if the underlying credit report changed enough to move the TU FICO score 15 points.

Is this proof that Credit Karma is fishy, or at least flakey and goofy?

Re: Proof Credit Karma is Fishy?

My TU score went up my credit karma went down. Yes fishy, flaky and on something. However i did a pull from Transunion and it did have pulls from them on 4 times this month. I know I have done it more, but hey just thought it would be fun to do.

Where did you go to get your unadulterated TU report?

Re: Proof Credit Karma is Fishy?

I don't think Credit Karma is pulling TU for me. At the moment, CK seems more aligned with my EQ score.

Edited to add: Oops, I stand corrected. Just looked at my TransRisk score. 3 pts higher than CK. Which is 84 pts lower than TU FICO. Smiley Wink

Re: Proof Credit Karma is Fishy?

CK is a FAKO, which means it has no correlation with FICO, by definition.

CK does pull TU, not EQ.  It states on the site's main page that they pull TU.

You can get a complete TU report directly from TU for $10, or for free once a year.

Re: Proof Credit Karma is Fishy?

Transunion.com and yes I paid the fee. However it was two fold, I wanted to know when my baddies fall off this year. It looks like August, so I am hoping to see a good bump in scores.

But I also wanted to see if they actually were pulling the report. They are, but the score they give is no where close to my FICO, which let's face it is the only one that matters.

No, it's not a Vantage score.  Not sure what you mean by "legit."  In what sense?

Thanks. I wanted a Vantage Score. Are they legit as in they won't do anything with your Social #. I wanted to know if they were safe? I always get worried when a website asks me for my social.

Why do you want a Vantage Score?   Have you found a lender that actually uses it for lending decisions?
