With my newest accont being over a year old I expected not to see the above reason code relatively recently any longer. My last account was opened 2/23/25 and it's still lingering on certain FICO 10 and 10 Bankcard scores. Comparing my 3/3 and 4/3 pulls, it dropped off this month on TU10, EX10, and EX10 BC. It's still listed as a 4th reason code on EQ10, EQ10 BC, and TU10 BC (FWIW it wasn't on my any of my 10T looking at 2/3, 3/3, and 4/3). Not that it matters a whole lot, but is it safe to assume it'll be gone next month?

The "relatively recent" reason code is active for 5 years. Typically it won't make the list after 2-3 years due to its diminished impact on score over time. Other negative reasons bump it out of the top 4.
The "relatively recent" statement showed up on my reports consistently back in the day. My Fico 8 scores were 850 at the time so not available there. However, it was on my EQ Auto score 5 model where score was more than 50 points below design max.(design range for Auto score 5 is 250-900 but real world max is 843 - so you should always reason reason statements on that Fico version)
I monitored it over a few years and pasted results many years ago. It fell off 10/2016 never to return, I'll repaste screen shots below.
Note how the position of the highlighted reason statements was pushed down in priority when score dropped due to some other negative which exerted greater impact.
* FWIW- It appears the "relatively recently" negative was costing me 4 points.
