STATUS: Current, Was Past Due = -27 points?

May of this year was late with a cc payment, this showed up on 6/6 as Account Is 30 Days Past Due and with a loss of (39) points on Equifax, (14) for Transunion and (56) on Experian. Unfortunately this I expected.

June and July payments were made as was an additional amount reducing my total cc utilization by 10%
On 7/7 I see an alert for loss of (22) points on Equifax, (27) for Transunion and (19) on Experian that references an entry of Status: Current, Was Past Due.

My question is this to be expected or is this an error?
Thank you in advance.

I can see the loss of the initial points from the late payment. I'm not so sure about the status change dropping it. I wonder if the update included some of the initial point loss from 6/6. What reporting service are you using?

Thank you for replying

I saw the double drop across all three bureaus.

Not sure if this is relevant but the drop appears on Experian 1st then a day later on Transunion followed a couple days later on Equifax.

Experian is the only one that showed details in the status i.e.

STATUS Account Is 30 Days Past Due

STATUS Current, Was Past Due

Transunion shows the current balance with Equifax showing the before and after balance.

Additionally in the days & weeks following the initial drop from the late payment my scores increased from various reductions in my CC utilization.

I did spend considerable time on the phone with the CC in question with no explanation or help.

This comes at a really bad time for me as I'm desperate for a new car.

I thought that paying down my CC and reducing my utilization by 10% would have a positive impact.

Seeing all three scores drop again is disheartening.

Thanks again
