Yes, I do know better and goofed. Could not believe that my Experian Score dropped 25 points for no revolving credit reporting! This was true.
Went from 837 to 812 using FICO 08. Setting up thr next card reporting to eliminate the situation. That will take a few days. So far Trans Union has ignored the no reporting on TU Vantage 3 and 4. Give it more time and will see? Equifax is ever the lost dog and I have no idea.
I've never seen any of my Vantage scores respond to an All Zero reporting. I lose about 20 points on FICO 8 though.
That isn't to say it doesn't affect Vantage. Maybe I've had other things pushing up at the same time the All-Zero would be pushing down.
But maybe this isn't something that affects Vantage.
Oh well, no loss, get it all back next month. That's what we love about utilization, can easily be manipulated when your ready.

I believe the penality is specific to Fico. Other versions of Fico are affected as well. The actual penalty is for "no recent revolving activity". If you have only charge cards and AU accounts reporting a balance, the penalty will still be assessed for Fico 8 and later versions. AU accounts are considered the same as primary in Fico 5/4/3/2.
It is unfortunate that Fico uses $0 balance as the default for no activity on an account.
