Granted, I know the Score Simulator is just a guestimate of how your credit score may change depending on what actions you take, but I'm confused about this scenario:
In the "Seek New Credit" section in my Equifax report, I tried to simulate what would happen if I applied for and received a new credit card with a $3,000 limit. The simulator projected my score would be between 668-688. When I tried to see what would happen with a new credit card with a $2,800 limit, the simulator projected my score would range from 738-778. I made no other changes.
Can someone explain that to me? I know it's not set it stone and 100% accurate, but I don't understand the reasoning.
Thanks.
