Scorewatch

I purchased my two scores from Transunion and Experian on 10/31/07 from myfico.  I already have a monthly subscription to Equifax's Scorewatch in which I get updates regularly whenever my score with them increases or decreases.  My question is, do I need to purchase Equifax scores beyond the monthly subscription?  The scores they update me with monthly would be the same score I would get if I purchased another one, correct?

Re: Scorewatch

If you purchase a report on the same day as an alert- they will be the same score.

Okay, I might as well take the plunge and make all things equal.

Thanks.

Re: Scorewatch

Okay I took the plunge and now I know the score that I get when the alert comes will stay the same until I receive another alert.  I have my settings set to notify me when other  actions take place too.

From now on, I will just go with the alert score and not purchase Score Power anymore.

Re: Scorewatch

I just signed up for Scorewatch yesterday, and I have an alert set up so that if the score changes, I'll get an alert. So, this gets checked everyday? So if it goes up 5 points tomorrow, I'll get an alert? If so, this will be excellent!

Starting Scores:10/09/13 EX ???; EQ 661; TU 668
Current Scores: 11/23/13 EX 655; EQ 679; TU 705
Goal Scores:700+ for all

This is REALLY counter-intuitive, but be sure to set your "target score" to the score that you have now. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me, but it works to show score changes. Smiley Tongue

Huh? I currently have mine set at 800, so I should change it to 768? Not getting it--maybe too dense today.

Re: Scorewatch

OMG byrdman! Go set your score to 769 right now..or else!!! Your gonna wait forever to see your score change if you have it set to 800! I get a score jump once a week from scorewatch!

Re: Scorewatch

Actually, set it to 768.

Always set the target to what your score is now. When you get a score alert, or if you pull your EQ and it has changed, go change it again immediately to the new score. It's the d@mndest thing I've ever seen, but Customer Service told me to do it, and I've read other members saying it, and I've tried it, and it works.

This is yet another area where myFICO needs to hire an English major or two, in order to get some clear instructions posted.
