Checked my Experian score yesterday on their site and had a five point score drop from last month. The only difference is that my PNC Core utilization dropped from 12% to 7% as I keep up my goal to get cc debt free in the next year. It's still my second to highest balance; and my Discover still has my highest balance at close to 30% utilization (attacking that one once PNC is paid off). I also have two other tiny balances on other cards, so this is nowhere near an all zero penalty. I thought I would actually gain a few points once the PNC dropped under 9%, so I'm a little surprised it turned out to be the opposite.
Anyway, my goal is to get rid of all my cc debt so I'm still far more pleased at my progress toward that goal than I am concerned about my scores at this point. Seriously, I'm so proud of myself. Just sharing as a (weird) data point.

Good work. The most important balance is the 30% on Discover. Get that to 28%, to avoid any rounding up, and I think you'll see some points from that.
Wish I had that problem with 800 scores! Add to what @SouthJamaica posted. FICO looks at individual card util and aggregate (overall) util %'s. Dont ask me the math between the 2 and how they figure out what score will move what. For me overall does more wiggling than individual. I know math for drug dosages only....

Ha' thanks. It was a long strange trip to get to the 800 club, but it's very new, and I don't think I'm a permanent resident yet...
