Sock drawer, cycle cards etc

I have five cards. The only one that's in the sick drawer is the Chase Slate (my bt card).

I have been making charges on the other four and paying in full after the statement cuts.

Am I doing this the "right" way? Or is it better to sock drawer and rotatell the card use?

IMO you are doing great if you pif every month. I would try to use the chase at least once every 3 months for a small purchase and pif; just to show the bank you still need/want the card.

I personally don't think it makes that much of a difference whether you're using 1 card or 4 cards.

If you were to pay before the statement cuts, you'd be reducing  your utilization, which is a good thing scorewise.

There is another thread where we are discussing using a card that is inactive for over 6 months.  I recently used it and it casued a 10 point drop.

So yes, it is important to cycle all cards for two reasons.  1) to show the CCC that you are interested in the card and 2) you dont take a hit for using an inactive card.
