I have the following situation:
1. I bought all three reports and credit scores on myFico: On TU it lists one (only one) collection from AllianceOne from 2006. (shows paid, which is correct - from before I knew what I was doing)
2. I bought a 3 in 1 with score from Equifax, and I signed up for Credit Secure by Amex -
3. TU reports from both Credit Secure and Equifax show TWO collections from Alliance One: One paid which is correct and one unpaid. Both different dates. (traffic tickets)
4. All three reports show only one Alliance One collection on Experian.
5. The paid collection is legit, I know, but I cannot recall if I had a second earlier unpaid ticket, so I do not know if the other TU collection is legitimate. I'm just not sure.
6. My TU score is the highest of the three by far, so it clearly isn't adding the second collection into my score (and as I said it is not showing up on the MyFico credit report).
Has anyone ever seen this? The MyFico report not containing derogatory information, that other reports do show?
If I apply for a loan, what are portential creditors going to see: what MyFico is reporting or what the other credit reports are showing?
Since It's not hurting my score, i'm inclined to do nothing, but if potential creditors will see it, I suppose I should do something.
Any comments or suggestions are appreciated
This is kinda strange. Credit report data is maintained by the CRAs, and neither myFICO, or any other generator of credit scores, controls the data upon which their scoring is based.
If you are ordering independent credit reporting from different vendors, the underlying CRA credit report provided by each individual CRA should be the same. Their scoring will be different, but the underlying CRA reports should be the same.
I would suggest that you order your free credit report for each of the CRAs through annualcreditreport.com. This will give you a complete and free report of your file with each CRA. Use that as your baseline for comparison with what you have received from the commercial vendors.
