For those of you that don't know - you can get this score by getting a Walmart CC, enrolling in online statements. Then they give you the score each month.
For those of you that don't know, including me, this is what Suze Orman's Book "Women & Money" page 149, says about the TU08. (HOPEFULLY I CITED THIS OK).
"If you have a solid history of on-time payments, you will likely not get a big ding if you have a one-time slipup. The new system will be more forgiving of one late payment."
"If you have an unpaid bill with an initial value (Before the penalties and fees start piling up) of less thatn $100 that is handed over to a collection agency, it will not have a negative impact on your FICO score."
"A high debt-to-credit ratio will hurt your score more than in the past. The new system is more sensitive to high debt-to-credit levels."
Yep, and IIRC, string or series of lates are less forgiving than before. Nice trade off I guess.
