Re: TU plummeted! Why?

Meant to add....ignore the advice from the transunion.com website. Focus on FICO's advice.

You can't do anything about the BK. For the unpaid CAs, if you have the $$$ to PIF or SOL expired, then send each a DV letter. If they verify and you agree, then send a PFD.

Being added as an AU will spike your scores up.

FICO scoring can be a bit odd. You'll see the comment go away on your other CC if you carry a balance. Ideally, you want all CCs but one to show a balance of $0 with the other showing a balance of $1 to 9% of the CL. All cards showing $0 can hurt your score oddly enough, but damage is minimal, relatively speaking.

Thank you so much!!!!! Smiley Happy I think I get it now. Duh! You're right. It is a vantage score, which makes me feel a little dooped by transunion. Grrrrrr. I searched the net last night and just about every free credit repair website out there says to just focus on the scores from myfico. So, even though I feel like the wind has been let out of my sails, I will keep working to get my score up. Thanks for all of your answers, I am learning SO much from this forum. Smiley Happy

Re: TU plummeted! Why?

No problem. I think all of us went through the same at some point in time. We see the term "credit score" and assume that they're all the same. Other companies tend to do a pretty good job capitalizing on that. In short, if it doesn't say "FICO" anywhere, then it isn't a FICO score.
