I just received my newest 3B report yesterday and noticed my Federal tax lien fell off TransUnion and Experian, but not Equifax. Why might that be? It wasn't scheduled to drop off any of them until 2018.

My advice to you. Don't make waves.
Just be glad and reap the benefit from the improvement to the FICO scores.
It's posted someplace else in these forums (General Credit?) that some rule is being rolled out to dismiss early certain negs etc.

LOL....I'm not planning on making any waves and I am ecstatic that they fell off the others, but I'm just curious what might be the reason for them falling off TU and EX but not EQ. EQ has always been my little red headed step child, (a good 85 points less than TU and EX). The lien has long been paid and released, just not removed....until now.

Were the liens reporting the same previously? EQ dropped one of my tax liens years early for some reason, still have my last one which falls off near the end of 2017 but I'm stuck in a credit holding pattern for school anyway so it's not a big deal for me to wait it out.
Congrats on the early drop off though, I know when mine is gone it will be a huge relief.

Equisux has their own policy. I just went thru the same exact thing 3 weeks ago. Their policy: "Paid or released tax liens remain on file for seven years from the date released or 10 years from the date filed" whichever is sooner. They fell off my reports on TU and EX. But 3 more yrs on EQ. I fought it but lost.

Huh. My "this will be removed by" date is ahead of that for my own dates when I was looking at exclusion dates on my EQ report... guess I'll see, though in my case 7 years from paid on the state tax lien is only a matter of 3-4 months longer since I paid it as soon as I found out. Still irritated by that one, thanks California.
Another couple people had their liens fall off on the same time horizon as what I am expecting.
