I arrived at the myFICO site thinking I understood how credit worked. Boy, was I wrong about that!
On 2/29 I signed up for SW. I had an EQ FICO of 679.
I read lots of threads and asked for advice. I ended up doing the following things:
-took myself off of DH's cards as an AU. (high balances- hurting my util)
-asked for CLI on my existing cards where possible. (got several)
-got 3 new 0% BT cards, and moved alot of my debt to 0% while I pay it down. (also helped util%)
-got a Walmart card for the FICO 
(helped util% as well)
-changed my AMEX Blue to a BCP (better rewards, cash back- saving money on groceries-6%)
-rearranged my spending to take advantage of the rewards programs that we had on our cards (saving money- more money to pay down the debt)
-got a Hyatt CC (a no ForEx card with chip, 2 free Hyatt nights- a good deal, with my highest CL of $16.4K -helped my util % too)
Today the Hyatt hit my EQ report with its extra CL. I now (5/24) have an EQ FICO of 724. That is a 45 point jump in 3 months.
