Re: Paid a Charge off from 04 in March 07

This is off topic somewhat, but since the thread is old it's all good right?

I'm in a payment plan with Asset Acceptance (before I knew better) and on EX it is reporting 90+ days late EVERY month!  I disputed, but it came back verified.  True, I guess I am still past due on the original debt, but in my mind I am "pays as agreed" with the CA.  Really irritating that I negotiate a payment plan with them & it is doing absolutely nothing for me!!  Smiley Mad

Oddly though this doesnt' appear to be hurting my EX score - it continues to climb upwards!

How does your EX score continue to go up when a 90 day keeps being reported on it?

Re: Paid a Charge off from 04 in March 07

just a guess, but possibly because you're paying down the balance, and in turn decreasing your utl/amount owed in general?

Re: Paid a Charge off from 04 in March 07

Amazingly when I tried checking my FICO FUTURE, the charge off amount does not change the increase in my score, all I need to pay really are my new credit card balances. And because I realize that my SOL is over, I may just try to ignore the PALISADES new report.

I still have to check all consequences though. **bleep** this is getting harder and harder.

For me, two Collection accounts removed from Experian = an increase of 11 points.
