I know that it takes 2 years for an inquiry to fully drop off of your report, but does anyone have a timeline for when it stops impacting your credit score? I've read in a few places that they stop impacting your credit after a year? I have 4-5 on my TransUnion report from January 2020 when I shopped for a car loan. Wondering if my score will go up now or in a year when they actually drop off.

That's correct. 1 year. January 2020 inquiries haven't been counted by the algorithm for a year.
BTW car shopping inquiries usually get aggregated by the algorithm.
In my experience, inquiries have little or no effect on my credit score when they are more than a year old.

Inq's wont even show up on your FICO report after 1 yr. Vantage is the full 2 yrs.
