I have pretty good scores, but I want them to be better. One of the negatives I constantly get is that I have too many accounts showing balances. I have 6 accounts with balances and 4 accounts without balances. I will always have those 6 with balances.
So, here's what I'm wondering: Is there any value in opening up another CC or two to balance out the 6 accounts with balances? I know I'll take a hit in terms of inquiries and AAoA, but I'm trying to look long term here. If it will help my score to open up another CC or two then I will. I don't need them, so I won't use them.
Accounts
With balances:
3 student loans (can't consolidate)
1 car refi (new account)
BofA Visa (joint household card)
AMEX Blue (personal use)
Without balances:
1 car loan (closed)

Chase MC
Citi MC
Thanks for the help guys.
IMO it's not worth thinking about. I get the same message from time to time. I ignore it. At most I figure it's only hurting me a few points.
Your scores are fine. I would not open any new credit.
Just my 2 cents.
