TransUnion says my credit history is too short, but they are missing my oldest credit card. There does not appear to be a way to correct an item which in not shown.
Any ideas on how to get a card that is no longer active added to my TransUnion history? Seems worth at least 11 points.
Chevron Credit Card from April 1981 (Expired 08/2011)
Equifax 768 - Length of Credit 39YR 8MO
Experian 750 - Length of Credit 39YR 8MO
TransUnion 739 - Length of Credit 8YR 0MO
If this is a closed card that has fallen off of TU, there is unfortunately no way to have it re-added. If Aug '11 was the closure date, you can expect it to fall off of your other two reports by next fall.

I would agree, it's likely aged off at this point. And as noted, it will fall off the other reports as well at some point in the next year

There's nothing to correct. Closed accounts eventually fall off of the reports. TU was the first to drop it, but the other two will follow suit.

Thanks! Makes sense.
It will be like being 30 years old instead of 70.
Appreciate the quick reply. Now I know what to look for going forward.
Thanks! Since it's out of my control, so I'm moving on with what I have.

Yeah, history disappears.
That's one reason to sometimes keep accounts open even if you have little use for them.

That is one massive AoOA drop of > 30 years... looks like you didn't add much in the way of credit over several decades, or if you did you didn't keep those accounts around very long.
Thanks for the reply.
All gone in a BK 9.6 years ago. Probably an oversight that this one card stayed in two reports.
Proud of the credit I have rebuilt since then. Always worth establishing and keeping a good credit report.
