I always keep 4 cards with a 0 balance, and 1 reports less than 10% every month, and the last 9 months I have has a score of 767....I got a score alert last night that my score had changed, when I checked my score dropped 4 points to 763.....I have not applied for any new credit, or had any hard pulls that I know of...Can anyone solve this?

its most likely a change in the payment history of one of your accounts or an account going dormant for non use in the eyes of the scoring program.

What do you mean dormant????......I use all my cards in my signature every month, EXCEPT my secured WELLS FARGO witch I never use....could that be why?

Interesting topic in regard to dormant accounts. I have all cards with the exception of one or two that I rotate report a $0 balance every month, by PIF before the statement cuts. Although I have used the cards, some of these cards have reported a $0 balance for more than six months straight. In the eyes of FICO, would these likely be classified as dormant accounts, or can the FICO God's tell that the cards were actually used, perhaps by the monthly payments?
IF FICO possibly looks at $0 balance cards, that have been that way for consecutive months, as dormant cards, is it best to rotate the cards so that each of them occasionally report a balance, or should it be okay to just have the same one or two report?
As always, thank you!

You have angered the FICO gods by ignoring a credit card for too long!
I have no idea if that is the exact reason, but it's a plausible explanation.

I have learned through my rebuilding journey that it does not take much to anger or annoy the FICO scoring gods! ![]()
