Two different EQ scores

I belong to EQ for credit report and score monitoring.  It is my understanding that EQ uses fico for scoring.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  I joined myfico in order to monitor my TU credit file and score.  I buy the TU report and score every month.

On June 13 and June 16, I logged in to EQ to check my report and thus my score.  There was one change to my report and the score remained to same: 583.  Today I received a letter from NFCU stating that my interest rate for my CC is higher than normal due to my EQ score of 547.

How in the world can there be two different fico scores from the same CRA (Equifax)?  Is NFCU using a different software version?

Welcome to the fourms !

You are very likely receiving the Equifax Credit Score with your EQ monitoring ~ this is not a FICO score, but rather is EQ's FAKO score.

Check your EQ monitoring ~ if the score does not explicitly say FICO then it is not a FICO score.

EQ does sell a FICO score here:     http://www.equifax.com/3in1-credit-report-score/

Re: Two different EQ scores

Thank you for clearing that up.  I just got off the phone with EQ (cancelled my subscription).  Going forward, I will use myFico to monitor my TU and EQ report and score.  Again, thank you for the help.
