I logged onto my Barclay Account this morning and for the heck of it looked at my TransUnion Score, even though I had just checked it on my Discover Account yesterday (where it was 826).
Imagine my shock when I see I had gone from an 825 last month, to a 750 this month. WTH????
the reason given is below. I immediately went and pulled my free annual Transuion report and find NO accounts listed as derogatory, No public records and NO collections.....
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BAD reporting and I have not opened any new accounts in over a year.
The ONLY thing I can think of is that I generally let a 1-3% balance report on one credit card. Currently I have "0" reporting, which is unusual. Can this alone cause a 75 point drop??
Again, WTH??????
Thanks!
K
What the heck is the derogatory noted or is that just a general affecting factor? I'd be perplexed also.
I can't imagine that the cause is all accounts going to zero would account for 75 points. Best of luck getting to the bottom of this.
no, just a general factor. No details.
I immediately pulled my free annual TransUnion report and there are NO DEROGS whatsoever.....
Last new account opened is 6/14. Been over the report with a fine tooth comb. NOTHING out of order.........
I'm beyond perplexed!
Do you use CreditKarma or Myfico.com 3B? You might consider purchasing a report. Maybe wait a day or two to see if anything pops up.
Wish you the best. 75 points is a lot and painful to lose. It has to be something beyond $0.00 across your accounts.
The screen shot came from my Barclay's account FICO Score results, which are true FICO and have always agreed with my Discover site reported scores.
As i mentioned, immediately following receiving this information, I got a complete Transunion Credit report via the official free annual credit report website. this wasn't a report from credit karma or otherwise.
I realize that. While I don't use Ck for scores, it is good for reports. In your place, I'd look on annualcreditreport.com, CK and wherever I could find the problem. You may find in a few days that this was/is a mistake. Do you use in actual monitoring either on myfico.om other CCT?
If I would have seen a 75 point loss for no reason I would have had a mild coronary too. I am in a similar score range as you and I have had "0" balances across the board and the worse that has happened to me is a 15 point loss on TU. I hope this is just a mistake and that you get it resolved. Good luck.
Did you have a public record at some time in the past that dropped off? I get exactly the same issue with my TU file. I had a state tax lien that vanished toward the end of February. My Barclay score shows the same note as yours. My Discover score didn't show it until this month's update. However, pulling my TU report directly shows clean. CK shows clean and CCT shows clean. Then there's this that I dealt with when I subscribed to MyFico:

Yes I did go to annual credit report.com and got my TU report. Totally clean. I had a bk 13 back in 2005, but that's been off my reports for 3 years now...
