So I'm an AU on my wife's BoA alumni card, and she just got a 50% CLI to $60k. I know very large credit lines are not counted on some of the older scoring models... is that also true for the util or is this a worst-case like when a closed card shows $0 limit and a balance? There's a just-under $30k balance transfer on that card, so it would be pretty magical if $30k of debt just "disappeared" to anyone using any of those older models.
If I remember right, the conjecture here was that either the tradeline was entirely counted (both its CL and its balance) or it was completely excluded (both its CL and its balance). And although fairly high CLs were shown to be included for FICO 8, I don't think anyone tested a CL as obscenely high as 60k, so I wouldn't assume that it would only be the older models that would be affected.
Do you mind telling us what your wife's total credit limit is (not counting the 60k CL BoA card)? And how much CC debt she was reporting on her most recent reports -- not counting the BoA card? Also, was the 30k debt on your wife's card reporting last month, when her card had a CL of 40k?
It would be interesting to hear what happens to her scores once the CLI registers on her reports.

Obscene? Isn't that defined by community standards? Who's offended? ![]()
I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think it will affect FICO 08 at all, other than maybe a point or two for going from 75% to 49% or less util on that card on the next statement. I know true NPSL cards are typically excluded, unlike older models where they were treated like $0 or high balance limit.
Her limits including AU on some of my accounts were about 255k, now 275k. I think she was reporting about 28% (roughly $71.4k) of revolving balances on her most recent reports, so not counting the BOA limit or balance would be about 20% of $215k in limits. Yes, the current report shows a $30,500 balance. Paid it down to $29k and then got the 50% CLI. Last one was from $25k to $40k, also while having a large BT and high card util.
I'll likely know how/if it affects my available (the three 08s, EQ 08 Bankcard, EQ NG2) reports, but without paying or joining new CUs, I'm not sure where to get older models. NASA was giving EX-98 or Experian FICO Score 2, but logging in to see my scores it looks like they switched to EX 08 in January, while still giving the original EX-98 scores for the 2016 months.
I think it would be a bit of a boost to not have the limit or balance showing, but then again it sure does look nice having a $60k CL on an aged card from one of the big banks.

Hrm? Mine is still EX Risk Model v2 (EX 98) as of 4/15; skipped May for me not sure if that will continue or not. Do you have a CC or some credit product with them? They may have changed services, unfortunate if so.

The scale changed from 320-844 to 300-850, but my 2016 scores did not change. My NASA scores were always 10-15 points lower than my EX FICO 08. From January onward, the scores match FICO 08 exactly for the same dates on CCT. I read through all of the wording and it just says "Your FICO® Score based on Experian data, pulled on 4/15/2017, is the same score that NASA Federal Credit Union uses, along with other information, to manage your account." It has to be a FICO 08, though, as the only other one that tracks exactly for me is a PLUS score which would not have the FICO trademarks. I have a sock drawered $15k Visa card with them and an installment loan.

Hrm I don't see a score range anywhere in their web interface except for that standardized FICO graphic; the score itself has been matching my EX v2 pulls from here though and has been +10 points different than my EX FICO 8 as reported by a bunch of services.
They may have switched UW to FICO 8 which would explain the change in scores as theirs are clearly provided by FICO Open Access; that'd be unfortunate if so but I'm waiting to get an update before I stop logging into their website regularly heh. Till my score refreshes (missed May) not going to start crying yet haha.
