'Mornin', LadyFico. Is all of your info the same, within the three CRAs? I monitor all three, as my bank uses Experian (which is always my highest score), and Equifax is usually the lowest. TU, falls in between, usually. And it pretty much depends upon who reports what to the CRAs. Right now there's a near 100 point spread between Equifax and Experian/TU, as the medical collections aren't on TU and EQ. Also, I've noticed, over the course of a year now, that they all use a different "sliding scale" if you will.
I also tend to wonder if they don't, on occassion, move "the bar" based upon national averages. Perhaps Barry or Brammy, or someone can shed some light on this? IE: If the new national average is 700 something, then the low to mid 600s aren't as good as they were when the national average was say, in the 670s? There seems to be a pattern here.
Regardless, though my score may be way different, between the three CRAs the percentages are similar. Such as: TU: 626 had me in the 30 percentile range -- 30% higher than everybody else.. EX: 676 had me in about the 33 percentile range, though the scores were substantially different.
Who can ever figure it out?
Happy day to you and yours.
