Many thanks, Jello, for the comprehensive analysis of my scores and the link to your very informative post! I could see that the score ranges reported by some of the lenders were carelessly off base, but didn't know which. I never expected they could all be wrong. But at least they provided enough other into to get a match in your table.
I surely didn't expect my scores to be all that high. My first posts on this forum were motivated by concern as to whether I'd actually be able to get a mortgage at all. This was during the "credit freeze" when the conventional wisdom was that nobody was lending any money to anyone, and I wanted to get into an "excellent" category in hopes that would help.
But there's no way I should be within single digits of the maximum scores. I don't have any baddies, and had carefully avoided any INQs for a year before applying, but there's not much else unusual about my situation. I had the previous mortgage that I was refinancing, and an original and refinanced mortgage on another property, both paid off. Didn't even have a current auto loan; had paid it off a couple of years earlier. And only three revolving accounts. Well, one probably unusual factor is that two of those CCs go back a long way, to 1975 and 1979. Just happen to have kept them. So I have a long history and high AAoA, but I understood that those factors limited out beyond 15-20 years or so.
Thanks again for your very informative and helpful response.
