What's the difference: FICO bankcard score 9 or FICO score 9

Hi Everyone,

Quick Question. When FICO 9 is referenced as the 'score model' of choice by the likes of NFCU, Penfed, Goldman Sachs (Apple Card) which model are they referring to? In myFICO app I have both a Bankcard Score 9 and a FICO score 9. Does anyone know the difference in scoring between the two?

Thanks,

Re: What's the difference: FICO bankcard score 9 or FICO score 9

If it just says Score 9 it's not the bankcard version.  BCE versions will definitely say that.

As for the differences, I'll let those that are more qualified speak on it.  For one though, the ceiling for Score 9 is 850, where the ceiling for BCE 9 is 900.

From looking at my scores though, it seems that Score 9 and BCE 9 are more closely related than Score 8 and BCE 8.  For example, all 3 of my BCE 9's are only 10-12 points higher than my Score 9's, where my BCE 8's are 35-49 points higher than my Score 8's.
