When are late payments removed from my credit report?

When I was in college I had a late payment on a retail store card (it was 60 days late).  That was almost 10 years ago.  Will this ever be removed from my credit report since it was so long ago?  Also, is it still impacting my credit score?  Any advice would be appreciated.

It should go away 7 to 7.5 years from the date of first delinquincy
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
