How often is the score updated? After I do my taxes I plan on paying off a majority of my CC debt, I was just wondering how long this takes to reflect on fico?
Your FICO score is a snapshot of your credit risk. It is calculated when requested, that is it is an instantaneous score. Anything you do will be reflected in your FICO score as soon as it is reported to the CRAs. Typically your cc will report once a month, usually the date your statement cuts.
