On April we just bought the house, but rate is too high, We are trying to refinance our house now, I just got the credt report 3 weeks ago, but I really confused by the score. I remember the agent told me that my score was over 700 on March, but now it dropped. The wired tihng is that I only have two bureau(EquiFax and Transunion) give me credit score. One is 745, another one give me 684. I just don't understand why the score difference is quite big and why I only have two bureaus's report not three.
I know my credit history is not long, just reach 2 years. But I always pay my credit on time, and my credit limit is 10k, and my mothly spending is around 400 bucks. The ratio is not high, less than 5%. Both bureau said the credit history is too low, I can understand this part. But the Transunion ( the one give me 684) said I am lack of recent resolving account infomation. And lack of recent resolving bank infomation. I am so confused, coz in the report, I saw my credit card bank record, and it is most recent (Oct). I don't understand why they said lack of recent information. My broker agent suggest me to open a new credit card due to this and said it will help to increase score, she think it is all because I only have one credit card account. I did so, but yesterday I did some reaserch, seems opening a new credit generally will be considered a bad thing. I am so lost now.
Please give me some suggestions, I really appreciate it.

Welcome to the Forums!
Where are you pulling your reports and scores from?
Could you have a fraud alert on EX?
Opening a new CC won't help your score. FICO will only read the history beyond 6 months. So, if your EX is clean and blank, you won't get a score until next spring.
But if you have a CC and mortgage, they should be reporting on EX to give you a score.
I'd pull all three reports directly from the CRAs (don't buy the scores) and compare. You can also get them via annualcreditreport.com.
Scores can vary widely from CRAs. Not every CR is the same. Compare your reports to see what is holding your score back and look for differences.
Thanks for reply, I really appreciate it.
The credit report I got is from my broker. She runs credit report 3 weeks ago since we are ready to lock the rate. My husband credit is excellent and have all three bureau's score. Mine only have two bureau's score. I thought we are fine since I am just co-borrower and my hubby's score is 800, but our agent said it will affect the rate we could get since mine is below 700. I just wondering how come they only refer to the lowest score I got.
Honestly, I really have no idea what make my scored dropped. I only have one credit card currently, which I always pay on time. And one mortgage, which is new ( for house we bought on April). I don't have car loan or other loan. The only thing I made a mistake is that I closed a credit card on May this year, which is actually my oldest credit card. (yeah, I know that is silly now).
I don't think I set fraud alert, actually I don't know how to do so, I never ask or inquiry my credit report before. And apparently I knows little about the credit report. I don't know what " lack of resolving account recent information" refer to, should I call my credit card company and ask them to report to all three bureau or is there any way that I could make the Transunion bureau get my recent resolving account info?
As the rate is getting better now, I stuck here and have no idea how to improve the credit score. I can't find a clue based on the reason the credit report given. ![]()
Thanks a lot!

The current credit card I have is Nordstrom. The one I closed is Captial One.
If I knew I should not close the oldest credit card at that time I certainly won't do that.
How can I verify if the EX have my correct information or not? Should I call my credit card company and ask them to report to Ex?
Thank you!
This is the reason for the comment, "lack of recent bank revolving activity". Your bankcard was closed, leaving only a store card reporting. See if you can reopen CapOne.
