Hi everyone!
Within the last month my family and I moved, was at our previous house for 6+ years. I received an alert on May 7, 2020 that a new address has been listed in my file with a 6 point decrease! How is this possible?? I have read that moving doesn't affect your credit score directly, but lenders would look at the totality with the rest of your file, which could affect their decision. I am not applying for credit and all of my bills are paid, and my utilization is less than 15%. I don't understand how I can lose points for a new address. I know and understand 6 points isn't catastrophic, but when you are rebuilding your credit, it sure does feel like it!
Anyone have any ideas??
Thank you in advance!!
Your address did not change your score. I've noticed that there is sometimes a bit of lag with myFICO. Something else caused the drop and it just reported at the same time as your address change.
