The newer Fico scoring model not sure if it is the 08 or 09 or whatever medical collections don't hold as much weight as they are "unavoidable" to a certain extent. Meaning you can get in an accident or some other expensive procedure and it is out of your control, so they are more forgiving on the impact to your score.
