authorized user and fico score

I have high fico score.  I put my daughter on my card as an authorized user but she has bad credit.

Will my credit file and hers be merged?
Will my score be compromised by her bad credit?

What other problems can I have by doing this?

thanks to anyone that can help

Re: authorized user and fico score

The only danger to you is if she screws up the card that you added her to. Her charges and late payments will show on your reports.

If you added her to help her credit, don't give her the physical card, and check your online account weekly to see if she charged anything online by just using the number. (Sorry, I don't mean to sound cynical, but I've seen a lot here... )

Bunny, adding an AU to your account is never of benefit to you, other than charity.
No, FICO scores of two personas are never merged, even if they become husband and wife, so that is not the concern.
What is of concern is that you have now assumed responsibility for her future credit actions.  Your score will be compromised by her future behavior.  Something I would never do, but blood is sometimes thicker than FICO, so you takes your chances......
