authorized user on credit report

does being an AU on someone else's credit card account have the same effect on your credit score as if it was your own account? or is it weighted differently? I have been added to several of my girlfriend's accounts and have seen little to no change in my score after the accounts were reported to my credit report...

Yes the attributes of the account will be scored the same.
