credit company is telling me to remove mm DH as an au

my DH is an AU on my cap 1 card, it has 4 lates, 2 30's and 2 60's from late 2008. A credit fixing company is telling me that if I remove him as an AU it won't hurt his score and the four lates will be removed from his credit report and his score will go up. I don't think this is right because this is my oldest account at 7 years and some odd months. If I take him off as an au, his oldest account in years would change to 5 years. please help. thank you.

From what you have told us, I agree with this opinion. Two extra years of age doesn't begin to compensate for those lates. Plus as the 60's are still less than two years old, they count as severely as a collection.

Does he have any serious derogs on his reports, or any baddies that are younger than those on your AU card? If not, get him off, PDQ. If somehow his score is worse, you can always put him back on.

He has a hsbc that started as a 30 day late in sept. and went to collections. So the lates range from 30 to 120.

Ok, so we took the plunge and removed my husband from my cap 1 card. My statement date is July 11, is capitol one known for reporting on time? with Equifax and Experian?
