My understanding (and I could very well be missing part of the boat here) is that repeated pulls can cause the information on your report to get split in some way because of the large amount of data - I have an old 1998 student loan in good standing that is still reporting, and a couple of old car loans, also.    If I keep screwing around that might get bumped off or something.
