different scoring bucket

My only baddie of a 30 day late is about to come off next month. I am assuming i will be put in a different scoring bracket now since i don't have any baddies on my report. Will i receive an increase in score or a decrease now that i will be in a different bucket? Will i even be put in a different scoring bracket. Will it take longer for my score to increase since i will be in this new bucket (assuming I am put into a new bucket)? Thanks everyone for your help

Re: different scoring bucket

The exact definitions of buckets are unknown - we do like to speculate on them and I think we have a fair handle on some and not so great of an understanding on just where others may be.

I personally don't believe a 30 day late puts you in a different bucket under the FICO system this site uses ('08 may turn out to be another matter). I wouldn't expect you to be rebucketed. 30 day lates are pretty much a non-entity at 2 years anyway.

Re: different scoring bucket

I dont know if there is aa scoring bucket for 30 day lates.  It  is so old it probably isnt hurting your score so IMHO I would say no.

Re: different scoring bucket

i thought i would be in a different bucket due to me no longer having any baddies on my report. If i have a clean report, inst it categorize different then someone who has a baddie.

Re: different scoring bucket

It might be a serious late bucket, rather than a 30-day. 60's and 90's are much more troublesome than 30's. I honestly don't know, though.

It's on my to-do list to re-read all the threads on buckets. It's turned into a sad jumble, I'm afraid. Smiley Sad
