employment inquiries

In reading different post, it appears that employment inquiries are not suppose to hurt your score. However, I read another post that states if it is a "hard" pull it will hurt your score.  I have 3 hard pull inquiries for employment on my credit report. So even though these are for employment, because they are "hard" pulls, it will hurt my score. Is this correct?
Thanks for clarifying this.

Re: employment inquiries

Hello shawshaw, welcome to the forums. Please read Credit Scoring 101, if you haven't already done so.

Employment inquiries, by law, are supposed to be coded as soft. If they are not, then you ought to call the Non PP puller and ask them to recode as soft. Yes, hard INQs, regardless of the source hurt your credit.
