help me understand .. Balance decreased yet I lost points ???

The balance on one of your accounts has decreased by $554 ...Good right .. Maybe not ..,My score went down by 14 points ..whats going on ? Can someone help me ..I thought I will be rewarded for paying my balances ..I was at 699 and waiting to hit the 700 mark .

Yes, it is suppose to increase your score.  They may be some other factors playing a role.  Do you have any other cards with balances? Was a collection account put on?  That is a lot of points for you to lose after decreasing utilization...

Sometimes this just happens. Depends on other variables. It's not always 100% going to act the way that you want it to, I've noticed with my score.

I have about 8 CC and 0 balance in all of them ..I have an auto loan and it good ..Payment history is great ..I have a very recent inq and this is could be the reason I lost 14 points ..I just feel sad beause I was at 699 and I was  getting so exited about joining   the 700  club. My other scores  over 700 but Eq is at 685 now ..
