how can my TU be 24pts higher than EX if they're nearly identical history, and using the same fico8 scoring model? my history on EX and TU is identical except for the pulls, and i don't think the score gap is because of pulling.
Scores (top vs bottom) on this forum with identical or near identical profile data commonly range 10-15 points, sometimes range 15-25 points and in outlier cases can range 25-35 points. You're 24 points isn't out of the question by any means and your score certainly isn't "broken" as your thread title suggests. You mentioned pulls, where I believe you're referring to hard inquiries. How many scoreable (from the last 365 days) inquiries do you have present on your TU report and EX report?
discover 2 hp: EX and EQ
amex 1 hp: EX
here's a timeline of my score.
EX: 707 (start) -> 717 (+10 reduced util) -> 716 (-1 amex inq) -> 715 (-1 increased util) -> 715 (+0 ???)
TU: 714 (start) -> 733 (+19 reduced util) ----------------------> 732 (-1 increased util) -> 739 (+7 ???)
i can understand starting off with 7pts difference since EX had a hp on it. but why was there a 9 pts difference when i reduced util, and why was there an unknown event that gave +7 to TU but not to EX?
The scoring models all have their own differences on each bureau which causes variance in scoring. They can have the exact same information and have different scores.
any idea what event has caused the mysterious 7pt increase only on TU?

Could be an inquiry aging past 12 mos.
Or possibly an age of accounts related threshold being crossed.
