new acct added but no alert from SW

a new CC was added to all 3 of my CRA's i didnt get any alerts on this for SW or TC, howcome? and when will i get an alert from SW? aren't i suppose to get a SW alert for new accts added to your CR?

It depends on how you have your alerts set.

And SW and TC are sometimes a few days late on your alerts.

SW with in 10 days. TC with in 30 days.

30 days on TC thats rediculious. and SW is set up to recieve ALL alerts

You have to wait 30 days for your TrueCredit alerts?? Mine come within 3 days!

My SW alerts are usually within 48 hours and sometimes a few days late. I say 10 days to be on the safe side.

But yes my TC alerts are always very late and half the time don't even report. Could be just me. I was notified 30 days after an inq. New accounts 30 days. I don't even get updates on TC or TC resellers anymore.

I wonder if the fact that I pull my CR almost daily has anything to do with not receiving updates since I see the changes before they are emailed to me? That could be the reason.... No.. I have more than one TC reseller that I signed up for and never canceled, hardly ever use. The other one has only notified me once or twice. Dunno.

Wow, that's really strange. When I glommed up all the new accounts on one day, I thought I'd go nuts with alerts. TC, Equifax Credit Watch Gold, and some cheesy EX service that I keep meaning to cancel. First an alert for the inq, then an alert when the new accounts actually posted. This was when ScoreWatch was in limbo, which was probably a good thing. My Outlook would probably have crashed if there had been any additional alerts.

But they all came within two to four days of the triggering event. And I was definitely pulling my TC reports during that time!

30 days for a TC report? I've never had it take longer than 2 days for an alert from TC. I'm still in the trial phase of SW and I still haven't received an alert of any kind, but it's only been 8 days and nothing has happened on my EQ report so I guess that's normal.

Score change alerts--from ALL vendors, not just FI--seem to be a science, but they ain't an EXACT science, if you catch my meaning.

I really do wish they would finish debugging and come up with a product that alerts immediately (say, within two business days) if a change OF ANY KIND occurs on your credit report besides the routine monthly reporting on existing accounts.

SW has still had a few problems over the last week or so. DH and I both got a SW on the 29th that was dated the 26th. So I'd give it a week or so.
