"There are no recent balances on your revolving credit accounts." TU

I am new to this. I recently obtains myFICO score report and have a question regarding "recent credit usage".

In my FICO report for TU, under "What’s hurting your FICO® score", I have

There are no recent balances on your revolving credit accounts.

Your credit report shows no recent balances on your revolving accounts [?]. Your FICO score was hurt because you are not currently demonstrating active revolving credit management.

What to do about this: You might consider moderate and responsible use of your credit cards (such as charging low balances and repaying them on time).

However, in the corresponding credit report, I do have two credit cards (BofA Mastercard and AE Costco credit card) with balances. I called the support line but the CSR could not offer any good explanation either. He suggested that perhaps the balances (2K and 1K) are "too low" when compared to the LOC (~50+K each).

I do have 3 or 4 other credit cards that are not actively in used at all (has no balance at all for the last 6-8 months). Could that have trigged the above comment?

Regards,

I guess the important thing is, what is the score?  If it 800 plus, ignore it.

If it under 700, that is different!
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Wow, d*mned if you do, d*mned if you don't!

I'm going to see if I can find out anything about this. I seem to remember something similar happening once.

I am beginning to think the scores are right and any other comments other than public records, your history is too short and you have been looking for credit should be ignored.

Not ignored, but taken with a grain of salt...or, once your scores pass 750 or so, with a shaker-full.

The 50K LOC's are ignored-

An account with no activity for over six months, per pronoucement by FairIsaac in their recent webinar, is not included in FICO scoring.

I need to start watching the webinar's again-

I did not know the actual time frame that was used- but to clarify, this means the creditor does not REPORT for 6 months, it has nothing to do with usage.  All of my creditors on open accounts report every month if I use it or not.
