Just an FYI for those that interested. We refinanced our home loan yesterday and got our scores pulled - US Bank came back with 690, Barclay card shows 685 and creditkarma was 720. I was surprised to see that Barclay was close. CK may be only good for directional movement.

I think CK is really good for monitoring and the free report they provide, scores are pretty meh.
In most cases. home loans. are fico 04 version. and the scores here are fico 08.
That is the difference. Baclays fico 08 is the exact same as my fico. now i may take time for dates to catch up. but the scores are spot on. bankcard versions.
mortgage is fico 04.
Credit karma. is transunion risk score.
So they will never be the same.
Like you. my credit karma Transrisk is much higher than my real ficos.
I now believie because transrisk does not factor close accounts. and they also do not look at paid collections. hence. the higher score.
fico does not care if collection is paid or not. it will count against. you. at least for now.
but. the new fico 9 will also over look the paid collections. so i wonder. if they will match once people start using the newer version. i would venture to say that will be years away.
as lenders as very slow to change .
CK isn't a score really. Nobody uses it, and it doesn't really matter at all.
As stated above, nortgage lenders usually use FICO 04, and Barclay is TU 08. Depending on a some things (including but not limited to AUs, small collections, etc), you might not see much of a difference between the 04 and 08 models.
