So yesterday my Fico 8 went up 4 points from previous day. The only change was that my second and third cards turned 6 months. So can I expect that I got 2 points from each card turning 6 months or is it likely that if they were a month apart that I wouldve got zero points when my 2nd card turned 6 and I would'e gotten all 4 points once my third card turned 6?
Reason I ask is because I got a lot of cards last 6 months and my AAoA has stayed at 1y1m as a result and just wondering now that I am done if I can expect small 1-2 points at each card turning 6 months? I know the big jump is at a year but would be nice to pick up a little along the way. I have 3 more next month that turn 6 and would be cool to get another 6 points.
Also I have a card turning 1 year next month. Can I expect to pick up for that or is it only when your oldest card turns 1 year? If I pick up points next month I'll have to try and figure out which caused it unless it is about 10 points or so and then I can assume from both.
The factor that should be looked at here is AoYA, or age of youngest account. A very well documented threhshold for this is 12 months, where crossing that point usually results in score gains to the tune of 15-20 points. Could a mini threshold exist at 6 months and be "worth" 4 points on your profile? Perhaps. Your AoOA and AoYA are potential score impacting factors. Age of second youngest account, second oldest account, etc. do not impact AoOA or AoYA; they only impact AAoA. That being said, your one card turning 1 year old will not have an impact unless that aging causes you to cross an AAoA threshold. AAoA thresholds are more difficult to determine and there isn't a ton of concrete evidence of where they exist.
