Re: what would help the most? CC

yea i know i cant combine our points together... im just hoping this will help.. its not alot of points we need. then are a doing a raid rescore to reflect this. this board has been so helpful. im still learning tho, i thought for sure just pay big chunks on each card.. now i know to pay off as many as i can.. im hoping to ask my landlord to wait for another two weeks to cash his check, then i can pay them ALL.. and that will def help with the scores. if not, should i pay off three of bobs cards and let the other ones report high, or pay two off and pay chuinks on the other ones? same for me.. pay off two leave others high balances, or pay off one and chunks on the other ones?

Do what I said before and try to leave yourself with no revolving tradeline reporting >= 50% UTIL at this time. (Hybrid of CWCID and HTSU.) You should be able to get what you need. FICO responds very well to UTIL reductions!

under 50% Util then the next step down the line being under 35% Util will do wonders for your score (at least, the under 50% Util helped my scores). good luck in this seemingly neverending battle! Smiley Happy

Re: what would help the most? CC

so this what we started with....

me

premeiere  limit 200 balance   180                     paid off

premiere    limit 300 balance   248                     paid off

credit one  limit  250 balance  201                     paid 160

orchard     limit   200 balance  15.                      paid off

husband

fingerhut   limit 400   balance  355

premier    limit 350   balance   244                      paid off

continental limit 375  balance  346                      paid off

orchard   limit  300   balance  276                       paid off

so, we sent the confirmation numbers to the LO we are working with. The bank will do a rapid rescore. Do you think with everything we paid off, we will see a 10-15 point gain?

Re: what would help the most? CC

I'd think so. Depending on the specifics of everything else on the report YMMV. Also the score doesn't go up until the CCC reports the change.

If it were me I might have weighted the paydowns differently but I think the chances are very good.

I think this is fine. I would be very suprised if you did not achieve the 10-15 point gain your a seeking.

.

Good luck!
