why is my tu score so low?

thanks in advance to all who respond: i recently ordered my tu fico score. had been disputing items to make sure balances are reporting as 0 due to my bk filing. in the score report it explains all of the reasons why my negative items are hurting my score. (public record, major derogs, coll acct) it also says  that i have 0 accts reporting as paid or paying as agreed. not true! why are my positive accts not being taken into consideration?

current tu score is 505

my current eq score is 603.

 i thought my tu score would be better. all accts are also 0 bal. 1 coll acct is reported as (coll) on tu and reported as (other ) on eq.

let me know if i need to provide more info. thanks

but surely there has to be other reasons why the big score gap?

The reports cannot contain the same exact info.

TU score is probably lower due to BK. you probably are being given credit for the positive account and that is probably why the TU score is just over 500 and not under.

EQ probably has you in a different bucket, and is rating you well among files with BK and TU is probably taking into account that the BK is recent.

thank you for your input. i know the cr's cannot have the exact same info. but i thought my tu cr was better than eq because it had greater num of pos tradelines reporting. just shocked me that scorewatch said i had 0 pos accts reporting on my tu cr. tu has to be penalizing me for my neg accts more harshly than eq. i am hoping that once i get a couple of pos tradelines to report, this will help both my scores go in the other direction.

btw.. i filed for bk apr 09; i started my credit repair journey in mid may 09. my eq score was 518; i only had a tu fako score which was 542.

fast forward to jul 09 & after many, many, many disputes & calls- my eq is higher by 85 pts. i am very grateful for this. my tu must have been even lower because i disputed the same accts, even got some things deleted & am sitting at 505.

i am still awaiting discharge 7/27/09 ( some people have reported getting points when they got discharged) got my fingers crossed & am waiting to see. thanks
