Can other forum users ask me to add them as an AU to my credit card acount?

I had another user private message me and ask me if I would add them as an AU to an old credit card account. Does this forum allow users to make that type of requests? I reported the message, but nothing became of the report. I read one of the users thread. Witch seemed to be about him removing AU'a from his card acount.... it seems kinda sketchy to me.

I'm not sure, but that seem like "solicitation" to me...which I'm certain is not permissable on myfico forums.

What this member is referring to is commonly called "credit piggybacking" which is a frowned upon tactic typically done to rapidly increase ones credit score, but still perfectly legal. It can, however, violate your credit card agreement which can result in the issuer closing your account.

Hope this helps!

No this is a volation of the TOS of the forum.  This is being looked into currently as well.
