Request: Block user posts

From my browsing of the forum, it seems to be there is no means at this point to block posts by single users. There are topics/threads I would like to read, but unfortunately, many of them are strewn with rantings of a single poster I would like to avoid. I have been in other forums where blocking user posts is possible, I would like this to be the case here as well. Thanks!

I wouldn't get your hopes up as I haven't seen a single user submitted feature request implemented in my time here. 

Having said that, you're not the first person to ask for a way to hide posts from members

Maybe there could also be a "Mod survey" option.

I happen to think they should, but that's like, my opinion.

I agree, there are some users that are just trolling certain topics because they don't "think it applies to their setup/agree with what some company offers/etc." We should be able to block users.
